The final steps…
We're so close to reaching our first major goal in our Chess journey - 1000 ELO.
The biggest misconception about this level is that there's a secret trick that'll get you over the line. But the truth is we mainly just continue putting in the hard work we've already been doing.
There are a few things we'll cover in this section though, so let's begin with some video training.
Training Plan
Like we said earlier, we want to keep our training plan quite similar to what we've already been doing - consistency is key here.
However, there are some additional things we can add to our training plan.
Complete video training
Play x5 slow games per day against real players
Thoroughly analyze each game (20-30 mins)
Continue understanding your opening and its ideas (and principles)
Train puzzles for 60 minutes per day
Watch 2 speedrun videos per week on your opening
Train endgame positions against an engine for 30 minutes per day
Continue with this training plan and keep consistent with your Chess and you'll reach 1000 ELO in no time!
